Use a repeatable six-view photo sequence
Clean only the area needed to expose labels and features without altering the evidence. Take one full front view, one rear view, both sides, the top and the mounting face. Keep the entire part inside the frame before moving closer for details. This sequence lets a reviewer understand orientation and compare features across candidate references.

Photograph features that eliminate wrong candidates
For electrical parts, show the label and every connector face with pin count and keying. For hydraulic parts, show port positions, thread form, mounting centres and rod or bore measurements where accessible. For brake and axle parts, capture left or right orientation, flange patterns and any casting references.
